In mid-June, Berlin's largest sports and games festival will once again take place - but this time not at the Olympic Park. On the occasion of the Special Olympics, the family sports festival moves to the Brandenburg Gate.
The Landessportbund Berlin e.V. invites families, children and young people to join in and play saseball, beach volleyball, American football, field hockey or soccer together. Additionally, kids can try go-karting, kendo, skateboarding, archery, ride Segways and many other sports activities. Even magical sports like Quidditch are included. The program also includes offers for children and young people with disabilities, such as Paralympic javelin throwing.
In addition to the numerous sports activities, there are also offers for children and young people on the subject of health and safety. At police information events, children learn valuable lessons about trafficsafety and may also sit on a real police motorcycle. The festival's colorful stage program includes acrobatics and dance by the Showkids Berlin and Centre Talma, among others.
