Carnivals, funfairs, street festivals and neighborhood fairs: The most important Berlin folk festivals of the year. more
Every Friday and Saturday, the capital's marquee in Spandau is a hive of activity.
The Spandau Oktoberfest takes place every year at the Spandau Citadel. The large festival tent with over 2,000 seats opens every Friday and Saturday. The traditional festival is accompanied by a non-stop stage program. DJ Hauffi and master yodeler Mario Bamberger with his Gaudi Buam heat up the festival tent and create an unforgettable atmosphere. Typical Bavarian dishes such as Hax'n, Weißwürste, Leberknödelsuppe, Obatzter, Bretz'n, Apfelstrudel, and Kaiserschmarr'n are of course a must.
