The Beach Dodgeball World Championships at Beach 61 at Park am Gleisdreieck do not differentiate between professionals and amateurs, but only between peoples - and ensure international understanding in the sand.
Whether Brazilians against Bavarians or Kurds against Koreans, everyone is eligible to play in the Strandvölkerball-Weltmeisterschaft (Beach Dodgeball World Championship) as long as they can be assigned to a nation, identify with a nation or speak its language.
Nations from all over the world compete, and the evenings are complemented by music and food. If, for example, Cubans play against Swabians, there is mojito and Maultaschen salad. The games are accompanied by the battle songs of the respective nations - music from the athletes' home countries.
