International Literature Festival

In September, Berlin becomes the capital of literature. Around 200 authors from over 40 countries are expected at the 22nd International Literature Festival in Berlin.

Since 2001, the Berlin International Literature Festival presents the literary diversity of contemporary prose and poetry from around the world. Renowned authors contribute to a diverse program alongside international new discoveries.
Tickets for the International Literature Festival 2022
Once on sale, tickets can be purchased online via the
Berlin.de ticket shop as well as on the official event website or directly at the ticket offices of the venues (see below). Advance ticket sales are expected to start in July 2022.
Participating Authors
The participants in 2022 have not been announced yet.
In 2021, the following authors participated in the festival: Naja Marie Aidt, Ana Luísa Amaral, Jalal Barjas, Javier Cercas, Jenny Erpenbeck, Niall Ferguson, Arnon Grünberg, Aleksandar Hemon, Judith Hermann, Hiromi Itō, Viktor Jerofeev, Tayari Jones, Lídia Jorge, Christian Kracht, Etgar Keret, Hervé Le Tellier, Ijoma Mangold, Eva Menasse, Nadifa Mohamed, Adolf Muschg, Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor, Ruth Padel, Olga Ravn, Moritz Rinke, Helga Schubert, Leїla Slimani, Sandro Veronesi, Willy Vlautin, C Pam Zhang, John Banville, Louise Erdrich, Roxane Gay and Ottessa Moshfegh.
