In September, Berlin will become the capital of literature. Around 200 authors from more than 40 countries are expected to attend the 26th International Literature Festival in Berlin.
The Berlin International Literature Festival showcases the literary diversity of contemporary prose and poetry from around the world. Renowned authors and newly discovered international talents contribute to a varied program. The theme of this year’s festival is: “You are born with your face turned everywhere.”
This year, the festival will once again welcome numerous authors from a wide variety of countries. Among those attending the Berlin International Literature Festival are Han Kang, Jenny Erpenbeck, Cornelia Funke, Douglas Stuart, Frauke Brosius-Gersdorf, Shila Behjat, Amitav Ghosh, Dave Eggers, André Aciman, Amy Tan, Angie Thomas, Alessandro Baricco, Andrej Kurkow, and Adania Shibli.
