Experience the vibrancy of the Berlin jazz scene at the Jazztreff concerts in a wide spectrum of styles ranging from swing and rock to blues and Latin.

The Jazztreff, an initiative of the Landesmusikrat Berlin, brings this diversity to the stage on one autumn weekend every year. Children, teenagers, adults and stars of the national jazz scene will play in all line-ups from solo to big band so that the audience is offered jazz in all its forms.

Over 60 Bands and 400 Musicians

Every year, up to 60 bands with over 400 musicians perform on three stages. The state competition "Jugend jazzt" for young musicians traditionally takes place as part of the Jazztreff. In even-numbered years, the winner is chosen from young bands with small line-ups, while in odd-numbered years there are competitions for big bands. Musical highlights include concerts by the Berlin and Brandenburg youth jazz orchestras and the Jazz Studio prizewinners.

A Meeting Place for the Berlin Jazz Scene

Well-known personalities from the Berlin jazz scene will join the event as advisors and bring musicians from different generations into conversation with each other. Discussion panels provide insights into the work of music schools and concert initiatives in the capital.
