When Wacken Open Air and the Berlin Charité run a joint Christmas market, things can get bloody.

At the Bloody X-mas Market, visitors are encouraged to donate blood to fill the Charité Hospital blood banks before the holidays. Wacken has been proving for over 13 years that heavy metal and blood donation are perfectly compatible. The "bloody" Christmas market calls on metalheads to donate blood. Live performances ensure a great atmosphere. It is not yet known who will be performing this year. There will also be a Christmas raffle. All proceeds from the market will be donated to the Charité's pediatric oncology department. Only cash payments are accepted at the Bloody X-mas Market.
