Unique gift ideas and high-quality arts and crafts are offered for sale by the stalls at the Christmas market at Späth'sche Baumschulen (Späth Nursery). Those who get hungry from the aroma of mulled wine and waffles hovering over the market can choose from a varied culinary offering which includes all the popular Christmas classics.
The Christmas market at Späth Nursery is popular with families for good reason: children can look forward to an exciting program with live music and fairytale theater. The performances by the Monbijou Theater, which puts on Grimm fairy tales, are a particular highlight. Children's eyes will also light up on the carriage rides across the Christmas-decorated grounds of the nursery. Young visitors can also let off steam creatively in the heated tent with Christmas crafts. There will be musical entertainment from various live bands. Other highlights include evening fire performances, numerous surprises in the stage programme and the new light garden at the carp pond.
The tree nursery naturally offers a particularly extensive Christmas forest with numerous pines, Nordmann firs and red spruces. There, families can take their time to look for a suitable Christmas tree for their home and take it home with them after their visit to the Christmas market. The entrance fee is for the preservation of the historic site. The admission ticket is also valid as a discount voucher when purchasing a Christmas tree.
