For over 40 years, the non-profit association Johannisches Sozialwerk has been hosting the Christmas market at their guesthouse, the St.-Michaels-Heim. For many visitors, the cozy market is like a trip back in time.

The Christmas market's nostalgic atmosphere stems from the numerous Christmas treats made from old recipes and the festively illuminated facade of the English country style home. While listening to Christmas music, visitors can browse the stalls selling arts and crafts, homemade jams, handmade toys and second-hand clothing, and shop for last-minute Christmas gifts. Proceeds from the sales are used for charitable purposes.

Christmas entertainment for children and adults

Children will certainly not be bored at the Christmas market at St.-Michaels-Heim: They can bake cookies, listen to fairy tales or watch Christmas cartoons. Handicraft workshops, such as pottery or candle making, offer fun for the whole family. A musical program will create the appropriate backdrop.
