Due to the Corona pandemic, extensive distance and hygiene rules apply in Berlin. Events in the leisure and entertainment sector may not take place until the end of March 7, 2021. Museums, galleries and other cultural institutions may not open until that date. Further information »
At the Adventsökomarkt (Advent Eco Market) at Kollwitzplatz, visitors can enjoy high-quality goods, craftsmanship and delicacies from around the world, all produced under fair social and environmentally friendly conditions. This means that the manufacturers of the products on sale are paid a fair wage and natural resources have been used as cautiously as possible.
The variety of goods at the Christmas market range from Christmas trees and tree ornaments to wooden toys, handicrafts and textiles. The organic food and snacks available at the market stalls are largely provided by local farmers.
Among the treats are organic steaks and flame-grilled bratwurst but also sweets and baked goods like whole grain waffles and Christmas biscuits. Hot, organic mulled wine and warm mead are available as well.
