The Christmas market on Alexanderplatz in the heart of Berlin is a mix between a traditional market, a funfair and a party venue.
The Christmas Market on Alexanderplatz is one of the busiest in Berlin. Visitors take a relaxed stroll through the market with around 50 stalls. Delicious food and Christmas gift ideas are on sale there - from original bobble hats to hand-blown vases, there is plenty to choose from.
The traditional giant pyramid at Alexanderplatz serves as a snack bar and viewpoint with mulled wine and grilled sausages and, above all, spreads pure Christmas spirit. This is especially true at the weekend, when a tower brass band take their places under the rotating figures of the pyramid.
Children's eyes light up at the antique-style carousels. On the roller-skating rink, even adults can become stormy little children again. Beginners' courses and a roller disco are offered on certain dates. The Partyhaus vom Nikolaus is no less fun: German hits and pop songs create a party atmosphere at the event location.
