From summer 2026, visitors to the new Ocean Berlin aquarium in Berlin-Lichtenberg will be able to marvel at sea creatures.
A new aquarium is being built in Berlin-Lichtenberg and with it a new attraction. From summer 2026, a variety of sea creatures will be moving into the Ocean Berlin aquarium in Rummelsburger Bucht. Numerous large fish tanks and a 3D cinema are planned. The largest tank, with a capacity of 7,500,000 liters, will feature predatory fish such as sharks. The aquarium will not only be another attraction in Berlin, but will also raise awareness for the protection of the oceans. Numerous exhibits will allow visitors to experience the entire marine ecosystem.
Connected to the aquarium will be a sustainability center where natural corals will be bred in a coral farm. A hotel is also being built in connection with the Aquarium Ocean Berlin.
