Berlin Sweets Market - Christmas Edition

Berlin Sweets Market at Markthalle 9

More than 40 local pastries, chocolates and sweets manufacturers serve their delicious creations at the Christmas edition of the Berlin Sweets Market in Kreuzberg's Markthalle IX.

The Berlin Sweets Market (Naschmarkt) is one-stop shop for the sweetest cakes, pies, tarts, brownies, scones, cupcakes, cookies, macaroons, marshmallows, chocolates, honeys and jams Germany's capital has to offer. Located at the Markthalle IX in Kreuzberg, the Naschmarkt derives its name from the German verb naschen ("to nibble") and offers the opportunity to sample sweets from local vendors.

In addition to offering scrumptious sweets, the Berlin Naschmarkt insures that every tart, macaroon and brownie on offer is prepared according to the highest standards and a conscientious production. Vendors must adhere to Slow Food quality criteria and use no genetically modified or synthetic ingredients, additives, preservatives or chemicals. All products are prepared from local ingredients in local kitchens, shops or cafés.
