Maps

08.03 Carbon Dioxide Emissions

This map presents the absolute CO2 emissions per block and of the primary road network in 1995. The block-related data is supplemented by an overview of the polluter groups to which the majority of the emissions can be attributed. More information

08.03.2 CO2 Emissions of Selected Power and Heating, Power, and Heating Stations of the Berlin Public Energy Supply

Link to: 08.03.2 CO2 Emissions of Selected Power and Heating, Power, and Heating Stations of the Berlin Public Energy Supply

This map presents the number, structure and distribution of the 1995 CO2 emissions across the city from the main energy production facilities of public suppliers. More information

08.04.1 CO2 Emissions of all Recorded Polluters per Square Meter of the Effective Floor Space

Link to: 08.04.1 CO2 Emissions of all Recorded Polluters per Square Meter of the Effective Floor Space
Image: Umweltatlas Berlin

This map presents the specific CO2 emissions for all types of use per unit of space (m² of floor space) in 1995. By standardising the unit of space utilised in a building, the influence of block size is eliminated and a more accurate comparison of emission data is possible. More information

08.04.2 CO2 Emissions from Electricity Consumption per Square Meter of the Effective Floor Space

Link to: 08.04.2 CO2 Emissions from Electricity Consumption per Square Meter of the Effective Floor Space
Image: Umweltatlas Berlin

This map presents the 1995 CO2 emissions per square metre of floor space, which are attributed completely to electricity consumption. Electricity was evaluated city-wide using a uniform emission factor. The map therefore also displays the intensity of electricity consumption in relation to floor space. More information

08.04.3 CO2 Emissions of Households without an Emission Share from the Public Electricity Supply

Link to: 08.04.3 CO2 Emissions of Households without an Emission Share from the Public Electricity Supply
Image: Umweltatlas Berlin

This map presents the absolute CO2 emissions from private households in 1995, excluding those emissions attributed to electricity consumption, however. This presentation reveals that emission levels depend greatly on the type and structure of the heating supply. More information

08.04.4 CO2 Emissions from Public Facilities, Industry/Commerce, Trade and Service Sectors, without Emission Share from the Public Electrical Supply

Link to: 08.04.4 CO2 Emissions from Public Facilities, Industry/Commerce, Trade and Service Sectors, without Emission Share from the Public Electrical Supply
Image: Umweltatlas Berlin

This map presents the 1995 CO2 emissions of all value-creating sectors, excluding those emissions attributable to electricity consumption. It reveals two very distinct distributions for the CO2 emissions resulting from value creation. More information
