The UN Habitat III conference is being held in October 2016. In the interest of giving the cities a platform for exchange prior to this conference and helping them to make an active contribution to the New Urban Agenda of the United Nations, Germany’s Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Dr. Gerd Müller, and the Governing Mayor of Berlin hosted the German Habitat Forum here in Berlin from 1 to 2 June 2016. More than a thousand people from politics, business, academia, and civil society took part in the Forum. You can read the joint press release issued by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Governing Mayor of Berlin here.
