Join us in celebrating the opening of the traveling exhibition "For Freedom and Republic! The Black-Red-Gold Banner in the Fight for Democracy 1924 to 1933". The exhibition by the German Resistance Memorial Center and the Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold, Bund aktiver Demokraten e.V. will be on display in the exhibition container of forum 1848 from June 4. Photos, documents and biographies reconstruct the tireless efforts of the Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold for democracy in the Weimar Republic.

On the opening day, however, we will not only take a look back, but also shed light on current struggles for democracy. Under the title "Protecting democracy", Paulina Fröhlich and Dr. Stefan Heinz will discuss how the past and present can be linked.

Afterwards, we invite you to join us for a drink and börek.
