The stage is simple. Chairs are placed on small pedestals, with music stands in front of them. The room is filled with the rustling, whispering and murmuring of the arriving visitors. Slowly, as is familiar from classical concerts, a tense silence settles in. Then a moderator and four musicians take their places and sort their sheets. The concert begins.

It doesn't take long, however, before the usual sequence of events is shaken up. Even before the intro is finished and the fairy tale of the brave little tailor can musically pick up speed, noises mix into the music and before the presenter knows it, the fairy tale concert is transformed before her eyes into a spectacle:

An unknown person pretends to be the real little tailor and from then on the story takes a new direction. After all, the basic assumption that he had killed seven flies in one swipe was already wrong. - Seven flies at one stroke, yes. But the good little tailor had certainly not killed them, but... swallowed them! And so the flies become the little tailor's constant companion and advisor.

The deeper the fairy tale concert ventures into the famous adventures of this unknown little tailor, the more the presenter and the musicians free themselves from their leaves. Bass flutes bring giants to life, recorders and jingles transform the plain stage into a royal court and the bass clarinet becomes a sonorous wild boar. Thus the well-known Grimm fairy tale becomes a virtuoso musical appeal to rediscover one's own gut feeling.

Music as a supporting element in theater productions is the trademark of the ATZE Music Theater. In the case of "Das tapfere Schneiderlein", however, acting becomes the supporting element of a concert. Once again, ATZE Musiktheater is breaking new ground, leading the audience through a story that is as entertaining as it is insightful. After all, you can only experience your own adventure if you really believe in yourself. But you should never forget to listen to the buzzing in your belly...
