Can daddling be a sin? What's so bad about what we touch most every day: our smartphone or tablet with its posts, tweets and reels?

What drives us - the longing to be seen, valued and effective - can quickly lead to excess. The term mortal sin was once used to describe excess, so it comes as no surprise when Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn among others, explains: "Social networks are most successful when they trigger one of the seven deadly sins".

On a performative tour through the NACHRICHTEN - NEWS exhibition , we want to uncover social media's matrix of desire and sin and develop alternatives for ourselves. If official news now needs a fact check, then what about the many private news items that are constantly being poured onto us on platforms?

Because the Internet is also fun, we invite you to playful excursions and adventures that will take you from the hero's journey to the Western showdown to the therapy couch for fairytale princesses and princes. All evenings will be accompanied by selected experts from science, media, drama and music, by tour guide Bernhard Glocksin and the collective "Selbstgebaute Musik".
