Public guided tour / Citadel

One of the best preserved Renaissance fortresses in Europe, the Juliusturm – Berlin’s oldest building, museums and exhibitions of modern art – the Citadel is a cultural location and an island of history.

With its extraordinary history, it has something of interest for all visitors. The public citadel tour gives an insight into the eventful history of the town and takes you from the master builders of the 16th century to the 20th century.

Every Saturday and Sunday, at 11 am and 2 pm respectively, a one-hour guided tour in German takes place. From October 2020, Sundays at 2 pm, the first guided tour of the respective month will be in English.
