"The Nutcracker"

A fairy tale between dream and reality: The Tchaikovsky classic "Nutcracker" has always enchanted young and old and is a beloved tradition for lovers of ballet, music and fairy tales, especially in the pre-Christmas period.

The story is about little Marie who is given a nutcracker by her uncle Drosselmeier on Christmas Eve. In a dream, she goes with the nutcracker and his toy soldiers against the army of the mouse king. With her help, the nutcracker wins, whereupon he turns into a prince and takes her into the realm of sweets. For Marie, a journey into a fairytale and fascinating world of wonders begins.

The German audience can look forward to the top-class ensemble of the Moscow Classic Ballet, consisting of graduates from renowned Russian ballet schools. The dancers work for famous Russian theatres, including the Bolshoi and Mariinsky Theatres. The ensemble and director Hasan Usmanov has already travelled across all continents and has performed in countries such as Brazil, France, China, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Italy, Denmark and the USA. The dancers of the Russian Ballet are known for their grace and at the same time for their iron body discipline. The Moscow Classic Ballet knows how to show its art and elegance at the highest level and in emotional perfection.

Special attention is paid to the high-quality stage decoration and the enchanting costumes. Top designers of the ballet world have created real works of art especially for this winter production. Glittering crystals adorn the elaborately designed costumes of the dancers.
