2G Plus rules for events with more than 10 people
On Tuesday (Jan. 11, 2022), Berlin's Governing Mayor, Franziska Giffey (SPD), also spoke of the cultural sector including theaters and operas, the sports and recreational sector, and other events. 2G Plus rules also apply in these sector for indoors events with ten or more participants. Starting Saturday (Jan. 15), access to those events is thus only granted to people who received their third ("booster") vaccination and doubly vaccinated and recovered people with a negative test. Children under the age of 14 are exempt from the rule. In the retail sector, however, 2G rules will continue to apply for the time being, meaning that fully vaccinated and recovered persons have access.
