Corona incidence remains high
The coronavirus continues to spread in Berlin. Health offices reported 2294 new infections within one day, according to the Senate's situation report of Wednesday (22 December 2021).

This means that fewer infections were reported than on Tuesday (2941), but around 200 more infections than on Wednesday a week ago. Seven more people died in connection with Covid 19 disease.
Two red lights, one yellow
Two of the three traffic lights in the country's warning system remain red: the seven-day incidence is now 326.1, indicating how many out of 100,000 people have been proven to be infected within a week. Of the intensive care beds, about one in five continues to be occupied by Corona patients: The rate was 20.9 per cent on Wednesday - a week ago it was reported at 22.5.
Hospitalisation rate stagnant
The warning light for hospital admissions remains on yellow. Within seven days, 4.6 out of 100,000 people were hospitalised in connection with a Corona infection. A week ago, the so-called hospitalisation incidence was 4.7.
