Student ID no longer valid as proof of testing during school holidays

During the Christmas break, students will no longer be able to use their student ID as proof of testing against Coronavirus.

This was decided by the Berlin Senate on Tuesday (December 14, 2021). Until now, students who got tested regularly in school could use their student ID card in lieu of a Coronavirus test certificate - for example, on public transport or at 2G events. This regulation will probably no longer apply during the Christmas holidays starting December 18. Since schoolchildren are not tested at school during the holidays, they are subject to compulsory testing just like everyone else.
