Number of new infections remains high: Incidence at around 342

The level of new infections with the coronavirus in Berlin remains high.

The so-called seven-day incidence was 342.2 on Friday morning (10 December 2021), as announced by the Robert Koch Institute. This corresponds roughly to the values of the previous days. The number indicates how many people were infected per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days. In Germany as a whole, the incidence is 413.
Berlin's health offices reported 2178 new infections with the Corona virus within one day. More than 295,000 people have been infected in the city since the outbreak of the disease. 18 more people died, bringing the total number of deaths in Berlin to 3904. Meanwhile, almost every fourth intensive care bed in Berlin hospitals is occupied by patients with Covid-19.
