According to the latest data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the figure on Tuesday morning (07 December 2021) was 336.8. A week ago, the figure was 372.1. It indicates how many people per 100,000 inhabitants have been proven to be infected with the virus in the past seven days. Nationwide, the value on Tuesday morning was around 432. For the first time since September, the dynamic of the seven-day incidence dropped to a negative value. 2615 new infections were registered. A week ago, there were 3172 new infections. 12 additional deaths related to Covid 19 disease were reported. The total number of deaths in Berlin was thus 3867.
More covid patients continue to be admitted to hospitals in Berlin. The Senate reported the seven-day hospitalisation incidence on Tuesday as 4.7. The value indicates how many out of 100,000 people are hospitalised with a covid illness within seven days. More than one in five intensive care beds is occupied by Corona patients.
