Senate plans to tighten Coronavirus measures
The Berlin Senate is planning to further tighten the Coronavirus measures.
Plans include contact restrictions for the unvaccinated, stricter caps on events, and a 2G rule for Christmas markets, which would thus allow access only for vaccinated and recovered people. Heath senator Dilek Kalayci (SPD) announced these plans after the senate meeting on Tuesday (November 30, 2021).
Decision to be made this week
However, the Senate has not yet reached a decision on the proposed measures. Kalayci stated that they wanted to wait for the results of the federal-state consultations on Tuesday and possible changes to the legal framework at the federal level. However, she held out the prospect of a Senate decision over the course of this week.
