Number of Coronavirus infections in Berlin reaches all-time high

The number of Coronavirus infections in Berlin has reached an all-time high.

The city's health offices reported 2,874 infections within one day, as the Robert Koch Institute announced on Thursday (November 11, 2021). On Thursday of last week, there had been 1,525 infections. The number of deaths in connection with a Coronavirus infection increased by seven.

Coronavirus incidence over 260

Furthermore, the pace at which the disease is spreading through Berlin is increasing. In the past seven days, 263.4 people out of 100,000 were infected with Covid-19. A week ago on Thursday, the seven-day incidence had only been at 165.5. The nationwide incidence was 249.1 on Thursday. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, about 238,000 people have been infected with Coronavirus in Berlin. The incidence is currently highest in the districts of Neukölln (305.5) and Reinickendorf (304.8).
