Coronavirus incidence jumps to 220.8

Coronavirus incidence in Berlin showed a sharp increase on Tuesday (November 9, 2021). After remaining below 200 in the previous days, the incidence value is now 220.8, according to the latest data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).

The incidence value indicates how many people per 100,000 inhabitants have tested positive for the Coronavirus within the past seven days. The incidence in Berlin is now well above the national average of 213.7. The RKI registered 2208 new Covid cases between Monday and Tuesday. In addition, five more deaths were reported in connection with Covid-19. This brought the total number of proven infections since the start of the pandemic to 233,474 and the total number of deaths in Berlin to 3,740.
