Over 165: Coronavirus incidence continues to rise

There is no turnaround in sight concerning the development of the Coronavirus pandemic in Berlin.

According to data provided by the Robert Koch Institute on Thursday morning (Nov. 4, 2021), the seven-day incidence rose to 165.6. The figure refers to the number of new Covid-19 infections per 100,000 people in seven days. The value was 157.4 on Wednesday, up from 129.4 just a week ago.

Over 1500 new infections reported

According to the RKI data, the number of new infections between Wednesday and Thursday also increased significantly to 1525. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 227,809 people have thus been proven to be infected with the virus throughout Berlin. Two more people have died from or with the virus. The number of deaths in Berlin related to Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic has thus risen to 3719.
