Slight decrease in Coronavirus incidence at beginning of week

The number of Coronavirus infections in Berlin has declined slightly at the start of the week. According to the latest data from the Robert Koch Institute, the incidence value was at 114.9 on Monday morning (Oct. 25, 2021), while it was still at 115.2 on the previous day.

The incidence value refers to the number of people per 100,000 inhabitants that have been proven to be infected with the virus in the past seven days. The numbers had risen again significantly in recent days, both in Berlin and nationwide. In Berlin, the incidence was at 86.2 a week ago on Monday.

The RKI reported 67 newly registered Coronavirus infections for Berlin this Monday. No other Covid-19-related deaths occurred on Sunday or Monday. Since the pandemic began, 3677 people have died in Berlin from or with the disease caused by the virus. A total of 218,121 people have been infected with the virus since then.
