Corona incidence in Berlin at 83.8

A student takes a Corona quick test before the first lesson at a school.

This means that the incidence has hardly changed compared to the previous day (84.7). Berlin is thus only slightly above the national average (82.8). In eastern Germany, the incidence values are significantly lower, while in large parts of western Germany they are higher.
As on the previous day, the Corona traffic light in Berlin is yellow twice and green once. The traffic light system is intended to warn if the corona situation in Berlin is developing critically. The three indicators include the seven-day incidence, the proportion of intensive care beds occupied by corona patients and the so-called hospitalisation rate. This indicates how many people per 100,000 inhabitants were admitted to hospital within one week after an infection with the corona virus.
