Corona incidence at the beginning of the week at 82.5

The corona incidence in Berlin at the beginning of the new week is 82.5 and thus slightly lower than the previous day. The value was 83.4, according to data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).

The value indicates how many people per 100,000 inhabitants have been newly infected with the Corona virus in the past seven days. A week ago Monday, however, the number was significantly lower at 73.7 people. The number has been rising for some time, also nationwide. Accordingly, the RKI registered 17 new cases between Sunday and Monday. This means that 195,128 people have been infected in Berlin since the beginning of the pandemic. No further deaths related to Covid-19 were reported on Monday. The total number of deaths thus remained at 3596. Just under 61 percent of Berliners were fully vaccinated on Sunday, according to the status report of the Berlin Senate Administration.
