The value indicates how many people per 100,000 inhabitants have been infected with the virus within the past seven days. On Saturday, the value was 74.2 after a significant increase last week. According to the RKI, 14 new cases were registered. This brings the total number of people infected with Corona in Berlin to 191,797 since the beginning of the pandemic. According to the Senate's situation report, 59.6 percent of Berliners are fully vaccinated.

Since more and more people are vaccinated and thus protected from severe courses, the significance of the seven-day incidence is decreasing. For this reason, the number of hospital admissions, i.e. how many people infected with Corona had to undergo in-patient treatment, is to become the focus of attention in the future. The number of people who have died in the capital in connection with Covid-19 is 3592, as at the weekend.
