Corona incidence decreases slightly: 67.3

The incidence of corona in Berlin has fallen slightly. It was 67.3 on Wednesday, as the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) announced early this morning (25 August 2021).

The seven-day figure was 68.7 on Tuesday and just under 70 a week ago. The figure indicates how many new infections are reported per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days. Almost 60 percent of Berliners are fully vaccinated. 471 new infections were registered. These were also slightly fewer than the day before and on Wednesday a week ago. Since the beginning of the pandemic one and a half years ago, 190,253 people in Berlin have been proven to be infected with the virus, according to the RKI, the majority of whom are considered to have recovered. Three further deaths were added, so far 3595 people have died in connection with a Corona infection.
