Corona incidence in Berlin increases significantly

After a slight decrease at the beginning of the week, the corona incidence value in Berlin rose significantly again on Tuesday (17 August 2021).

According to the latest data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), 66.2 people per 100,000 inhabitants have been newly infected with the virus in the capital over the past seven days. The previous day, the figure was 61.3. A week ago, the incidence was 40.7. Between Monday and Tuesday, the RKI registered 595 new cases. No further deaths were reported. This means that 187,128 people have been infected with the coronavirus in the capital. 3587 people have died in connection with a Covid 19 infection. Just under 56 per cent of Berliners were considered fully vaccinated on Monday.
