Seven-day incidence in Berlin rises to over 60

Corona numbers in Berlin continue to rise significantly. According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the seven-day incidence on Saturday (14 August 2021) was 60.7, compared to 50.3 the previous day.

The number indicates how many infections there have been per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days. Exactly one week ago, the RKI recorded an incidence of 36.6 for Berlin. The highest infection rate is currently in the district of Neukölln. According to the RKI, the incidence there on Saturday was 100.9. The lowest value was recorded in Treptow-Köpenick with 28.1. 615 new infections and one death were reported in Berlin. This means that 186,394 people have been infected with the coronavirus in the capital. 3587 people have died in connection with a corona infection.
