Corona numbers in Berlin rise again

According to official data, the Corona virus is spreading faster again in Berlin. In the past seven days, 38 people were infected per 100,000 inhabitants, as the Robert Koch Institute announced on 09 August 2021. On Monday a week ago, the figure was 27.2.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, 184,204 infections have been registered in the city. According to the official figures, this means that about one in 20 Berliners has been infected in the past one and a half years. There have been 3585 deaths related to Covid 19 disease. The so-called seven-day incidence is particularly high in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg (53.9), Neukölln (53.3) and Reinickendorf (51.2). Treptow-Köpenick (22.9) and Marzahn-Hellersdorf (24.7) have the lowest values among the twelve boroughs. The national average is 23.1.
