Rising case numbers: Corona incidence at 24.8

The coronavirus continues to spread in Berlin. In the past seven days, 24.8 people per 100,000 inhabitants became infected in the city, as the Robert Koch Institute announced on Tuesday.

The seven-day incidence thus continued to rise. Among all federal states, Berlin records the second highest value after Hamburg. Nationwide, the incidence is 14.5. Within Berlin, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg is the district with the highest Corona numbers. In the past seven days, 42.2 people per 100,000 inhabitants were infected there. In Treptow-Köpenick it was 9.8. According to the official figures, 181,973 Berliners have been infected with the corona virus since the outbreak of the pandemic - i.e. almost every 20th person in the city.
