17 corona infections: Incidence persists at 23.5
In Berlin, 17 new infections with the Corona virus were registered between Saturday and Sunday (25 July 2021). The seven-day incidence remained at 23.5, as on the previous day, according to the latest data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).

The number indicates how many people per 100,000 inhabitants have been newly infected with the virus in the past seven days. In no other federal state is the seven-day incidence as high as it is currently in Berlin, even though Hamburg, for example, was not far behind with 23.2 on Sunday. However, if one compares the Berlin districts with the nationwide counties, a different picture emerges. Here, the district-free city of Solingen in North Rhine-Westphalia recorded the highest incidence nationwide with 64.7.

In Berlin, 181,700 infected people have been registered since the beginning of the pandemic. The RKI did not report any further deaths in connection with the virus for the capital on Sunday. 47.8 percent of residents have now been fully vaccinated, according to the latest situation report by the Berlin Senate. Almost 60 percent have received at least the first vaccination. The number of new infections known to the RKI is often lower at the weekend than during the week - for example, because of delays in reporting by the health offices.
