Corona incidence continues to rise

The seven-day incidence in Berlin continues to rise significantly. According to the latest data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) as of 20 July 2021, 18 people per 100,000 inhabitants have been newly infected with the Corona virus in the capital in the past seven days.

The previous day, this value was still 15.8. Berlin thus remains the federal state with the highest incidence. A total of 196 new cases were registered between Monday and Tuesday. Two more people died of or with Covid-19 in the same period. The numbers are still at a low level, but are rising significantly again. Since the start of the pandemic, 181 342 people have been infected with the virus in the capital. Most are considered to have recovered. 3574 infected people died in connection with Covid-19.

According to the RKI data made available on Tuesday, the following picture emerged in a comparison of the districts: The Mitte district has an incidence of 29.3 according to the overview. Marzahn-Hellersdorf has the lowest incidence within the capital at 6.1.
