Corona incidence in Berlin at 5.9

The Corona infection numbers in Berlin have again slightly decreased.

On 29 June 2021, the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was 5.9, as reported by the Robert Koch Institute. This value was last 6.5. For about two weeks, the seven-day incidence has been in single digits. In addition, 27 new infections were recorded. According to the data, more than 180,000 people in Berlin have been infected with the coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic. Most are considered to have recovered. 3557 people died in connection with a covid 19 infection.

According to the ministry, three new infections occurred within one day. However, the health offices often report the data with a delay after the weekend. 22 patients were last treated in hospital for Covid 19, 9 of whom received intensive care and 8 of whom were ventilated. The number of people currently infected and ill is estimated at around 200, compared to 400 a week ago.
