Berlin's Corona traffic light shows three green lights again
For the first time in months, the so-called seven-day incidence in Berlin has dropped below 20.
The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reported 16.6 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days on 11 June 2021. The previous day, the figure had been 20.2. In addition, the RKI registered 88 new infections and four further deaths related to Covid-19. 179,553 people have thus been infected with the virus in Berlin since the beginning of the pandemic. 3517 people died from or with the disease caused by the pathogen.
With the incidence dropping again to below 20, all the so-called corona lights are now green in Berlin. The occupancy rate of intensive care beds with Covid 19 patients was already at 9.6 per cent on Thursday and thus comparatively far from the critical value. The so-called R-value, which indicates how many people an infected person infects, was 0.66 on Thursday.
