Software adjustment: Negative number of new infections
There was a peculiarity in the registered new infections as well as in the number of new fatalities: their number was reported on Sunday as minus 21 in new cases and minus 1 in fatalities, respectively. Usually, however, new cases are added daily. The Berlin health administration justified the negative number among other things with a software conversion, as a result of which there were corrections especially with data from the district Neukölln.
The number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic in Berlin is now given by the RKI with 3481. So far, 178,200 Berliners have been infected with the virus. Around 171 700 people are considered to have recovered. The general trend in new infections has been declining for weeks, so that politicians are planning further relaxation of previous restrictions.
Intensive care bed occupancy by Covid 19 patients continues to decline
According to the health administration's situation report on Sunday, the trend in intensive care bed occupancy also continues to decline, with the Corona traffic light on green. According to the report, 12.7 percent of ICU beds are occupied by Covid 19 patients. The previous day, the figure was 13.2 percent.
