Corona infection rate in Berlin continues to decline

The corona situation in Berlin continues to develop positively. On Wednesday, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reported the incidence at 56.3 - the value describes the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within one week.

On Wednesday (19 May 2021) it was 61.5, on Tuesday 63.3. 462 new infections were reported. Four more people died in connection with the coronavirus. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 176,497 people have been reported infected in Berlin. The number of deaths rose to 3416. Around 168,200 Berliners are considered to have recovered.
