The RKI reported the number of new Corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days on 13 May 2021 at 83.4. On the previous days, it was 93.7 and 86.0. If the value is below 100 for five days in a row, Corona rules can be relaxed. However, public holidays and Sundays are not counted.

Relaxations possible from 19 May

Thus, as of Wednesday (19 May), the night-time curfew restrictions could be abolished, according to which it is generally no longer permitted to leave one's own home or property between 10 pm and 5 am. The opening of outdoor restaurants would then also come within reach. The Senate agreed on this on Tuesday.

707 new Corona cases

According to the status report, 707 new corona infections have been reported. Six other people have died in connection with the corona virus. The occupancy of intensive care beds by Covid 19 patients is slowly approaching the 20% mark at which the corresponding Corona traffic light turns green. Currently, 21.2% of the beds are occupied by Corona patients.
