In Berlin, almost every tenth inhabitant is now fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.
Directive, general rules of conduct and more: Measures against the corona virus.
The vaccination rate among those who received all doses was 9.97 percent on 05 May 2021, according to the latest situation report from the Berlin Senate Administration. This rate is above the national average, which the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reported for Tuesday at just under 8.3 percent. Just under 27 per cent of the capital's residents have already received their first vaccination dose.
Seven-day incidence for days descending
At the same time, the seven-day incidence in the capital continued to decline and was 104.8 across all districts on Wednesday, according to the situation report. The previous day, it had still been 111.2. The value indicates how many people per 100,000 inhabitants have been newly infected with the virus in the past seven days. Since the so-called federal emergency brake came into force, the incidence value is based on the data of the RKI.
Burden in intensive care units remains high
Meanwhile, the situation in intensive care units remains tense. According to Wednesday's data, 24.5 per cent of intensive care beds were occupied by Covid 19 patients. This means that the occupancy rate remains just below the critical value of 25 per cent. But it is only declining slowly - by 0.2 percentage points compared to the previous day.
