Berliners no longer need a Corona test before shopping or going to the hairdresser if they have already been infected once and have since recovered.
This was decided by the Senate at its meeting on 27 April 2021. Already since mid-April, people with full vaccination protection had the same rights as others with a current negative test result. But this did not apply to former Corona sufferers. "We are also putting people who have recovered on an equal footing," said Health Senator Dilek Kalayci on Tuesday after the Senate meeting.
It is about "recovered persons who have PCR test evidence that they were positive in the past", Kalayci explained. "After the 28th day, until six months have passed, that person is considered immune and therefore equal," the senator said. For people who have recovered but the infection was more than six months ago, there must be a simple vaccination, she said. "Then there is an exemption from the testing requirement."
