In Berlin, 485 new Corona infections were reported on Saturday. This is according to the daily situation report of the Senate. The seven-day incidence, i.e. new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within one week, fell slightly to 132.6 on 24 April 2021. On Friday, the value had still been 135.
According to the situation report, a total of 1,105,406 vaccination doses were sprayed. Around 8.5 percent of residents in Berlin have already received the second vaccination. In the Senate's Corona situation report, which is updated daily, the seven-day incidence of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) has been published since Friday. This was set nationwide in order to have a uniform basis.
The total number of registered infections in Berlin rose to 164,106. A good 150,000 people are considered to have recovered. So far, 3187 people have died in Berlin in connection with Covid-19. Seven more deaths were reported on Saturday. Experience shows that the numbers are somewhat lower at the weekend because fewer people are tested. The proportion of Corona patients in Berlin's intensive care units has dropped slightly to 27.2 percent, but remains in the red zone of the traffic light regulations. In contrast, the R-value, which indicates how many people an infected person infects on average, was in the green zone at 1.02.
