1288 new corona cases: Incidence of 158

The seven-day incidence in Berlin continues to rise and was 158.6 on Friday.

1288 new Corona cases were newly reported, according to data as of April 16, 2021. This brought the number of registered infected to 158 308 since the beginning of the pandemic in Berlin. The number of registered deaths increased by 4 to 3147 on Friday.
At 26.1 percent, the utilization of intensive care beds by Corona patients was 0.2 percentage points below the previous day's figure, according to the Berlin Senate's situation report. However, the load on the wards had recently increased rapidly - the limit of 25 percent has already been exceeded for days.
This means that two of Berlin's three Corona traffic lights are currently on red. The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and the utilization of intensive care beds by Covid19 cases. The R-value alone is in the green zone at 1.08. The reproductive number indicates how many people an infected person infects on average. The Corona traffic lights are the Senate's warning system. When it was introduced, it had agreed to take action in the event of two red traffic lights.
