Utilisation of intensive care beds continues to rise
The proportion of Covid 19 patients in Berlin's intensive care units has risen again. According to the status report of the Senate Department for Health on Tuesday (13 April 2021), 26.6 percent of intensive care beds were most recently required for Corona patients, up from 26.3 percent the previous day.

The figure was thus above the critical 25 percent mark. The Corona warning light therefore continues to point to red at this point. This also applies with regard to the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in one week. The value is now 127.6 after 115.4 the day before. On Friday, it was still significantly lower at 102.3. The highest value of the Berlin districts was reached by Reinickendorf with 158.0, the lowest by Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf with 95.2.
A total of 3128 deaths related to Covid-19 in Berlin
The number of new infections detected since the previous day is 677. A total of 154,671 people have been infected with the virus in Berlin since the beginning of the pandemic, according to data from the health administration. Of these, 141 946 are now considered to have recovered. Another person has died in connection with Covid-19, bringing the total number of deaths in Berlin to 3128.
