At 24.9 per cent, the occupancy rate was 1.1 percentage points above the previous day's figure, according to the Berlin Senate's situation report. Since 9 February, the value has been below the threshold. However, the load on the wards had increased rapidly recently - following the significant rise in the number of infections again.

Incidence value rises to 118

This means that only one of the three Berlin Corona traffic lights is currently on red: the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants. On Saturday, the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants was 118, a stronger increase than on the previous day (Friday: 102.3).

643 new corona cases reported

According to data from Saturday, 643 new Corona cases were reported. This brings the number of registered infected persons since the beginning of the pandemic in Berlin to 152,962. The number of registered deaths rose by one to 3123 on Saturday.

Corona traffic lights are the Senate's warning system

On Saturday, the traffic light continued to show green only for the so-called R-value. According to the situation report, it is currently 0.74 after 0.60 the day before. The reproduction rate indicates how many people an infected person infects on average.
